Skills and Experience

§         Specialised in telecommunications systems test consultancy since 1993. Worked in IT since 1989.

§         Experienced in Operations and Business Support Systems (BSS/OSS) for: GSM, UMTS/3G, SS7, SDH, FWA, and billing.  Worked on substantial CRM implementations.

§         Good practical experience of end-to-end telecommunications business processes: how services are provisioned and managed, and billing. Also, how business requirements are captured, then documented, then used for test design and specification.

§         Experienced in taking responsibility for the testing as a senior test specialist or a lead tester.  Defining test strategies, test planning, test environments, test design and specification, defining acceptance criteria, co-coordinating UAT, hands-on testing, agreeing changes with developers then re-testing, and test reporting.

§         Understanding of Object Oriented design (e.g. UML) and programming concepts.

§         Experienced in working to defined quality standards, and structured methodologies.

§         Experienced in UNIX, Windows 2000 and XP, SQL, TCP/IP, SNMP and HP OpenView.  Started IT career as a systems programmer.

§         Experience working within several well known companies in the telecommunications industry.

§         ISEB ITIL Foundation Certificate and ISEB Software Testing Foundation Certificate.
